Galston Recreation Park (Hayes Oval)

History

Galston Park – now Hayes Oval (1955/56)
An earlier ground was in use throughout the 1890s. The current ground also had a trotting track. In 1951/52 members of the Association and Hills District cleared all trees from the land. It was first used in competition in 1955/56. The ground was greatly enlarged in the early 1980’s.

Achievements

  • 1/2/2003 – Andrew Driscoll (A2) Vs ARL took his 200th wicket
  • 2003 Eric Junkkari (C1) Vs Castle Hill took his 200th wicket
  • B2 Blue (24/1/2004). Playing Kenthurst we lost 9 wickets all bowled. The 10th wicket was run-out!
