Thornleigh Oval

Story

  • Andrew Mills became our most ‘capped’ player out in the 90’s – 3 times. On Saturday (13/11/2004 Vs Normanhurst) he got 96 and was out caught on the boundary. The shot was loaded but a very strong wind blew the ball back in the field to be caught. This was the third time he has got 90 against the same opposition (Normanhurst) and the same Captain (Anthony Maxworthy).
  • On Sunday 11 March 2018, our U12 Purple Team played our Red Team in the U12 Final. While not the first time we have had 2 WPHC play each other in a Junior Final this match was also Umpired by Barry McDonald (Chairperson) and Rob Hanich (Juniors Director) making this an all WPHC Final. For the record the game was won by the Red Team.
