Greenway Park
Story
- On 11/12/2004 our U16 team powered their way to 328. On Friday night a downpour occurred that dumped 60 mls of rain on Greenway Park. Mark Kakoschke (Team Manager) commented that there was no way this was going to put this game at risk. So he went down to the Oval at midnight to check it out – walking his dog (that Geoff Newman refers to as a ‘walking powder puff’). Mark knew there was a problem when his dog started dog paddling at the southern end bowlers approaches. 2 hours later he managed to bucket the water off the wicket. They got on and won the game.
- In October 2012, the ground was completely dug up, new drainage installed and the wicket raised.
