• In a Club throwing contest at Headen Park (1981/82), Andrew Small threw a ball from one side of the ground to the other (east/west).
• Famous quotes:
  Raj Anand – star all-rounder and cricket tragic for B1 made a name for himself in 2004 when he had a heart attack while batting at Headen Park. Apart from finishing at 39* he was taken to hospital and almost died on the operating table. When he was lying on the operating table Raj remembers the doctors having to remove his protector before they could start to operate. But wait, there is more. The first thing Raj said when he came around after the operation was “Will I be able to play cricket again” – he did and did it well.
• Famous people:
  • John Howard, former Prime Minister played between 1962/63 and 73/74. John played in a match in the early 1960’s, before they did it up and the blackberry patch was removed at the Thornleigh end. In a famous incident, the ball went hard and high towards the boundary, where the future Prime Minister was fielding. He had some trouble seeing the ball at most times, and was groping myopically at it as he edged back.Finally, the ball landed, just as John went over the edge. When the others arrived to see where he was, he was impaled in crucifix formation among the blackberries. One old wag commented years later, “We had a discussion about whether to pull him out or leave him there” – ofcourse the right decision was made to remove him – eventually.

Headen Park (1947/48)
Named after Cr Harry Headen Shire President 1954-60. Previously called Fellowship Park, it was once part of a dairy and owned by the Presbyterian Church.

Achievements

• 27/3/1994 – Jim Fuggle (B1) played his 500th game for the Club and top scored with 55
• 23/11/2002 – Greg Fiedler (A2) brought up his 5,000 runs for the Club Vs Beecroft with a “booming cover drive that squirted through mid wicket” to quote Greg
• 20/12/2003 – Sean Doohan (B2) scored his 3,000th run Vs Kenthurst
• 17/1/2004 – Andrew Fiedler (B2) scored his 3,000th run Vs WPHC Blue
• 13/9/2009 – 10^th wicket A2 Grade record partnership record of 76 runs between Tim Leyshon 47 & Rohan Dixit 26* Vs ARL
• 20/10/2012 – WPHC A2 Vs Castle Hill RSL put on 7/432 which is the 3rd highest score in our Club behind 494 (1965/66 Vs Cowan B1) and 436 (A1 Vs St Ives 1951/52). Rowan Keating scored 107 and Tim Starr 109*
• 26/1/2013 – Anuj Dhorajiwala (114*) & Nathan Tripolone (74*) put on a Club B2 Grade 2nd wicket record of 207* Vs Normanhurst Warrawee that stood since 1984/85
• 28/3 & 29/3/2014 – B1 won their 7th Premiership. The standout performance was the bowling performance of 8/42 by Nick Starr from 16 overs. This is the best bowling performance by a WPHC player in our Finals history – all Grades
• 8/12/2014 – A2 dismissed SKLPS for just 20 runs in 9.4 overs. This is the 2nd lowest score by an A2 opposition in our history (19 is the lowest score). Tim Scoular took 7/3 in 4.4 overs including our 38th hat-trick and the best 7 wicket or better bowling analysis in Seniors history. He also took 5 wickets in 6 balls
• 21/10/2017 – Michael Banner (A2) scored his 5,000th career run to take him to number 6 in our all time top run scorers list Vs ARL
• 18/11/2017 – B2 scored 37 in their 2nd innings against Normanhurst-Warrawee. This became the lowest score by a WPHC B2 side breaking the previous record of 39 scored on 4 January 2003
• 29/9/2018 – Ross Anderson scored his 8,000^th run Vs ARL to be the first player to achieve this milestone.
