Executive members note – this is 1 week earlier than previously proposed to avoid holding during school holidays.

The New South Wales State Sporting Organisations (SSO) Season Collaborative Agreement 03 June 2020 is an agreement to amend the changeover dates between the delayed winter season due to the impact of COVID-19 restrictions and the summer cricket season. The winter season is to conclude no later than 11 October 2020 (including finals); and the conduct of community cricket affiliated competitions to conclude no later than 5 April 2021.

​In line with the New South Wales State Sporting Organisations (SSO) Season Collaborative Agreement 03 June 2020, Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai councils have announced the following changes to sporting season dates in response to the shortening of the 2020 winter season due to COVID-19:​

• 2020 Winter Season concludes Monday 5 October 2020
• 2020/21 Summer Season starts Saturday 24 October 2020
• 2020/21 Summer Season concludes Sunday 28 March 2021 (1 week later than normal)
