Greenway Park update

Hornsby Council has advised the latest on the Greenway park upgrade to the lower level of the building. They have advised:

“In October, the walls went up which was very exciting and has really helped the undercroft space take shape. The extensive trenching for the plumbing and electrical upgrades to the site are now complete and we are just awaiting a few final details before these works are complete.

In November, the focus has been painting, in anticipation of the partitions and fit out works commencing towards the end of November.

The budget for the project has been progressing well, which is always good news! This has meant that a few weeks ago Council were able to give the formal go ahead for all the external works (concrete paths, ramps, terraced seating & changeroom conversion).

The main focus is to finish off the building works, however in the coming weeks you may start to see some work commencing on the externals.

Only once the building and the external works are complete and able to be used, work will commence on converting the existing changerooms into public toilets (we need to get the new changerooms online before we can convert the existing ones!)

At this stage, we anticipate all works to be finished by March 2024. Please continue to visit the project page (see link above) for the most up to date status of the project.
