“Bistro WPH” Photo of the Month
The Photo of the Month Competition is on again this season with the best Photo of the month chosen to win a fabulous prize – a $50 dinner voucher at Bistro WPH – here
To is easy to enter:
- Just take a photo of anything to do with our Club – Kanga, Girls, Boys and Seniors
- The photo can be of our players batting, bowling or fielding
- Also, we are keen to get any ‘quirky’ photos that are a bit of fun.

Blowfly Cricket
BlowFly Cricket starts up on Friday 12th October – check out the website link to find more information – here
Blowfly Cricket gives young people aged between 5 and 25 years with autism, cerebral palsy and down syndrome the chance to play organised sport. It also gives families the chance to be involved and enjoy seeing their children having fun and just enjoying life

Registration update
Kanga
We start on Saturday 6th October and take registrations all year. To make sure that your child gets to play in the same Team as their friends please don’t delay registering.
Girls
We are entering U13, U15 and U17 Teams in a separate Girls Competition. Like Kanga, we take registrations all season but again, early registration means you get to play in your Team of choice with your friends.
Competition starts on Saturday 20th October so don’t delay.

Our Academy is here with Registrations now open. We cap numbers at a maximum of 18 players to keep a player / coach ratio of 1:6. In just 2 days we are already more than 50% full and filling fast.

- Girls:
- Monday’s – 5.30 pm to 7.00pm (starting 15th October 2018)
- Junior Boys:
- Wednesday’s – U14s to U16s – 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm (starting 17th October)
- Friday’s – U12s to U13s – 4.00pm to 5.30 pm (starting 19th October)
- Seniors:
- Wednesday’s 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm (starting Wednesday 17th October).
The Academy runs for 8 weeks between Monday 15th October and Friday 7th December 2018. We finish with the final 2 sessions on the 4th and 11th February 2019.
Cost
$225 for 10 weeks tuition – a ridiculously cheap price and a fraction of the cost of commercial operations and better quality.

Coaching
School Holiday Cricket Clinics
The Association Coaches’ Association is again running their highly successful School Holidays Clinics. We are fortunate to have a clinic in our own back-yard at George Thornton Reserve at View Street.
Details are:

- Mark Taylor Oval (Tuesday 2nd & Wednesday 3rd October)
- George Thornton Reserve, View Street WPH (Thursday 4th & Friday 5th October)

- Who can be involved: Boys and Girls aged 6 to 14 years of age

- $150 / Clinic (cost recovery) with family discounts
We thoroughly support these Clinics and they are run by our Association Coaches’ Association who have a passion for growing cricket and developing children. We recommend that you register promptly as places fill quickly.

Junior Boys
The Boys have a break during the School holidays and start again on Saturday 13th October. After just 2 Rounds our Team standings are:
U16s – Blue (1st), White (4th) – = 1st on points
U15s – 4th
U14s – Orange (2nd), Red (4th) – = 1st on points; White (6th)
U13s – Purple (3rd), Red (5th) – =1st on points; Orange (7th), Blue (8th), Green (11th)
U12s – Orange (1st), Gold (3rd) – = 1st on points; Blue (9th), Red (10th), Green (14th)
U11s – Green (9th), Red (10th), Blue (13th), Gold (16th)

Girls Cricket
Girls Try Cricket Day
The Association is running a Girls Try Cricket day that is open to all girls aged between 9 and 17 years of age.
Details are;
- When: Sunday 23rd September
- Where: Montview Oval, Hornsby
- Time: 11.30 am to 1.00 pm
We will have 3 Girls Teams this season (U13, U15 and U17) and with our Registrations always OPEN, we welcome Girls to join at any time to play our great game.
So if you have a daughter, sister or know someone interested in giving it a go then please come along or refer this to the person.
