Junior Boys
The Junior’s Semi Finals were played on Sunday as all-day games over 55 overs a side.

Association selection trials
Trials for next season are fast approaching. Details are:
U10s to U12s Boys & U13 to U15 Girls
- When: Sunday 18 March 2018
- Where: Action Indoor Sports, Mt Ku-ring-gai
- Times:
- U12 – 9.00 am to 11.00 am
- U11 – 11.30 am to 1.30 pm
- U10 – 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
- U13 & U15 Girls – 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
U13 to U16 Boys
- When: Sunday 25 March 2018
- Where: Action Indoor Sports, Mt Ku-ring-gai
- Times:
- U13 – 9.00 am to 11.00 am
- U14 – 11.30 am to 1.30 pm
- U15 – 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
- U16 – 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm
Registrations close on Thursday 15 March 2018 at 7.00 pm and this cut-off is strictly observed. Full details are available at: here
Pink Stumps day
Our Annual Pink Stumps Day, run by our U9s, is on this Saturday:
- When: Saturday 10 March 2018
- Time: 8.00 am to 12.30 noon
- Where: Campbell Park
The teams will play against each other (24 over games) as follows:
- Red v Green (game 1)
- Blue v Gold (game 2)
- Winner of game 1 v winner of game 2 (subject to time availability)
The Sydney Thunder Bus will entertain the kids between 10am and 12 noon.
We will have for sale sausage sizzle (both Beef & Chicken), cup cakes, sandwiches and more.
Collection boxes will be made available and raffle ticket sales will continue on the day.

Orange 126 defeated Hornsby Green 85.
White 114 lost to Berowra 7/186
U12s
Red 155 defeated Hornsby Green 133
Purple 5/84 defeated Hornsby Gold 83
U16s
Blue 149 lost to Castle Hill RSL 3/152
Gold 3/164 defeated Normanhurst-Warrawee 160.

Note:
While our U14 Whites finished 3rd, as this is a 6 Team Comp there is just a Grand Final between the top 2 teams.
Outstanding performances
Outstanding performances from the Semi Finals are.
- Jack Barry (U16 Gold) took 2/25 and then scored 63 in the Semi Final win
- Varun Ravindran (U16 Gold) had the amazing bowling figures of 8 overs 0/3 and then scored 54 not out in the Semi Final
- Jack and Varun then combined with a 127 run 3rd wicket partnership to win the game
- Joel Munro (U12 Purple) took 3/11 off 7 overs
- Ravi Mavila (U12 Red) took 4/26 in their Semi Final win.

Girls Cricket
Weekend results – Sixers League
U13s
WPHC 3/46 lost to Parramatta 0/47 – batting first we struggled to 46 in our 20 overs. In reply, Parramatta got the runs in just 4.2 overs to notch up an easy win.
U15s
WPHC 3/89 defeated PLC 74 – batting first we got a defendable score with Amy Hale top scoring with 12 runs. Our bowlers sealed the result for us with outstanding efforts from Tuvini Jayakody who took 3/12 and with 1 wicket each to Nidi Kukunooru 1/7, Jess Meikle 1/2, and Nicole Bennett 1/8.
U17
WPHC 49 lost to Gordon 6/115 – this game showed why Gordon are the top placed side who powered to their score in 20 overs. Best bowlers for us were: Lily Campbell 2/17. Lucia Culus 2/19, Ellen Hall 1/13 and Minoli De Silva with 1/19. This was always going to be hard to chase and we fell well short. Best of our batters was Minoli with 18 in just 35 deliveries.

Semi Finals – Day 1
Best performances from the Semi-Finals came from:
- Nick Bennett (A2 wicket-keeper) took his 192nd dismissal to break the long-standing record held by Dale Armstrong
- Tanay Hira took our 47th Hat-trick with his 3/9
- Our best Team performance came from D2 who batted all day to lose just 4 wickets in their total of 182 as the higher placed Team.
John Hayne Cup
One to look out for the Teams that did not make the Semi’s is the John Hayne Cup. This is a fun T20 handicap Comp played by Teams that didn’t make the Finals and all players who do not play in the Semi’s are eligible to play.
