Match Reports – Round 14, Day 2 – 6th March 2017

Headline achievements

Day 2 of the final Round was played on the weekend. Highlights are:

  • Ian Paterson (C2 Red) who brought up his 2,000th run last weekend
  • The normal season is now over and 8 of our 10 Teams will be playing in the Semi’s:
    • 2 Minor Premiers (C1 and C3)
    • 3 Teams finished 2nd (A1, B1, B2)
    • 1 Team came 3rd (A2)
    • 2 Teams came 4th (D1 & D2)

A1 Grade

WPHC drew with Hornsby – washed out without a ball being bowled in this 2nd Vs 4th game.

Position in Comp – 2nd and we will be playing St Ives who finished 3rd.

A2 Grade

WPHC drew with Wahroonga Bladerunners – another washout without a ball being bowled. This was 3rd Vs 7th game so 6 points was looking good.

Position in Comp – 3rd and we will be playing 2nd placed Kenthurst next weekend.

B1 Grade

WPHC drew with Hornsby – washed out along with all other games in what was going to be a top of the table clash (2nd Vs 1st game) to deliver the Minor Premiership.

Position in Comp – 2nd and will play St Ives

B2 Grade

WPHC drew with Hornsby – another washout in this 2nd Vs 6th game.

Position in Comp – 2nd and will play ARL.

C1 Grade

WPHC drew with Hornsby – after the washout the boys finished Minor Premiers with the best quotient of any team in the Association.

Position in Comp – 1st and will play Sydney Lions.

C2 Grade

WPHC Blue drew with Kenthurst – washed out in this 7th Vs 8th game at Kenthurst Park. We are now out of the Semi’s but will be playing in the John Hayne Cup.

Position in Comp – 7th

WPHC Red 269 drew with Hornsby – washed out at a flooded Greenup Park. We finished 6th and will also play in the John Hayne Cup.

Position in Comp – 6th

C3 Grade

WPHC drew with Thornleigh – washed out in this 1st Vs 8th match but we still finished as Minor Premier.

Position in Comp – 1st and will play Hornsby.

D1 Grade

WPHC drew with St Ives – washed out 4th Vs 1st match.

Position in Comp – 4th and will play the Minor Premier St Ives.

D2 Grade

WPHC drew with St Ives – another washout at Campbell Park in a 3rd Vs 1st match.

Position in Comp – 4th and will play the Minor Premier St Ives.
