Club Survey

Our Club Survey kicked off with Seniors last week. In2Cricket / Kanga, Junior Girls and Boys will open shortly.

The Survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete, is anonymous and your input will used to change what needs changing and to build on what we do well. We will be reviewing the consolidated responses at our next Executive Meeting and the results will then be shared.

When you get the link it would be great if you can complete the Survey and help us to create an even better Club.

$100 Active Kids payment

From 1st February 2018, parents will be able to claim up to $100 per school aged child for a calendar year for help offset the cost of sports registrations. Details are available through the following link: here

Next steps

Families with children who play winter sports will be able to access the payment as part of their Registration process via a voucher issued by a registered activity provider.

As Cricket registrations were held back in July last year we are waiting on direction from Cricket NSW on the process for our cricketing families.

What is likely to happen is that our cricketers who play winter sports will be able to get the $100 payment when they register. For our children who do not play any winter sports we will have a process in place shortly to make sure you don’t miss out.

CNSW has responded to us:

We expect there will be an opportunity for cricket clubs to attract new participants during the traditional registration periods for cricket later in 2018 amongst the many families that won’t have redeemed their voucher(s) by that point, and that will be a more significant focus for Cricket NSW than this initial period.”

Girls Cricket

Representative stars

Congratulations to Danielle Chivers who has been selected in the Northern District Brewer Shield (U17) squad after an impressive trial last week.

Danielle joins Lily Campbell who also plays Brewer Shield for the Sydney Club.

Well done too both Lily and Danielle on this wonderful achievement.

Also worth a mention is that Danielle, Jess Meikle and Amy Hale all trialed for the CIS State side during the week. The standard was incredible with current NSW Junior players not making the cut and sadly neither did our 3 girls but a great experience for them all
