Looking ahead – next season

With the departure of some key people from our Leadership Team an important gap that needs to be filled is our Yearbook co-ordinator.

All the input is provided by our Directors of Blowfly, Junior Blasters, Juniors Mixed, Girls and Seniors. The role we need filled is to consolidate the info and work with the printers to get the final copy. To quote Buzz Burrows, our Juniors Director:

“…the process is straightforward and takes a dedicated soul to put in some time to work with the printer, who I believe are happy to walk the new incumbent through step by step.”

If you would like an opportunity of giving back to our Club and making a difference your contribution would be much appreciated.

If interested then please contact Steve Burrows direct on Juniors (Mixed) email or 0478 965 255.

Cricket Australia & CNSW

PlayHQ update

Cricket Australia is building a web-based tool (sitting outside of PlayHQ) that will allow administrators to easily report on ‘bowling, batting, fielding and top performer statistics’ which can then be exported to XLS/CSV for further manipulation, for example to generate a Champion Player results table.

Since the last update in January, core components of the reporting tool has been developed which has undergone multiple days of user testing by several Club & Association volunteers.

The feedback from these focus groups, in conjunction with the statistics validation work undertaken by Cricket Australia and PlayHQ, has CA confident that they will be able to release the reporting tool shortly.
