- Blowfly cricket:
- Started, implemented and managed (WPHC Chapter);
- Director 2018 to current despite not having a child involved;
- Vice-President of Blowfly (parent organization) – 2017 to present;
Association:
- Executive Member (2003 to 2006);
- Senior Competition Secretary (2004-05);
- Representative Coach Durham Shield (3 seasons);
- In 2022/23, Bill was awarded the prestigious ‘Jim Fuggle Award’. This recognition recognises ‘exemplary service to the Association, through their service to the Association or through participation in one of its member Clubs’.
Bill’s greatest legacy achievement was the Blowfly Cricket initiative. This provided an opportunity for young people with autism, special needs and / or disability to participate in organised sport and provide an opportunity to enrich their lives and those of their families.
