Our Club’s Indigenous design – what it means
Our bespoke Club Indigenous design was done by renowned Indigenous Artist, Rheanna (Rhe) Lotter. She also designed the Sydney Thunder BBL playing shirts. The below design has a unique storyline:
“The artwork is a combination of elements visually representing West Pennant Hill Cherrybrook C.C., our Club colours (red, white, blue & green), the players (boys, girls and men), and our meeting places (Sports Club & playing grounds).
The design shows our location – the Blue Mountains (bottom left) are a boundary (wavy lines) along with the Hawkesbury River (blue dots) depicted at its base.
The dots are reflective of our players, family and supporters.
There is a specific reference to our playing membership – male (Seniors), female (Girls) and children (Blast).
The 2 large concentric circles represents our meeting places – our Home (Sports Club) and our Spiritual playing grounds (Campbell Park / Greenway Park as depicted on the right). Linking these 2 venues are footsteps that show the connection between our Home and playing grounds. On the outside of the circles are the Indigenous symbols for Man, Female and Child – represented by the blue, red & green ‘n’ shaped symbols.
The boundary colours of red, white, blue and green reflects our Identity.”

One key change for this year is that the Association will not be asking us to nominate for particular grades. We will submit teams, and they will find the best place for those teams to compete.
25/26 Changes
Confirming some changes communicated at the last association meeting:
- Feedback received suggests artificial Byes are not popular. Too many playing days missed (especially in a wet season). So instead, one grade per round will likely play on a Sunday (excluding A1 and A2 and dependent on total number of teams nominated)
- D1 & D2 Only – After receiving feedback D1 & D2 will be playing One Day matches only (including finals). Each team will play each other team 3 times (equally). This will be on a trial basis and further feedback will be sought before 26/27.
- C3 to D2 Only – These grades will adopt a rule similar to Mixed Juniors regarding total number of players that can participate in a match. The aim is to increase participation. Full detail will be provided prior to the season start.
- Any number of players is okay
- Any number can bowl
- Any number can bat
- 10 wickets per innings
- 11 max on the field.
- Time off the field rule waived
- Teamsheet still required.
- A Grade Only – as suggested by the A Grade forum, we will be holding an A Grade One Day final on the Sunday prior to Semi Finals. The two highest ranked teams in One Day matches only (played through the season) will play off for One Day champion. Again, more details to come prior to the season start.
