Montview Oval (1962/63)
Developed on the site of an old tip. The Northern pitch was built in 62/63 and No 2 in 1987/88.

Achievements

  • 1994/95 Montview (East) Oval, Eric Junkkari (B1) batting last with the team 9 down and one over to go was told by his Captain (Jim Fuggle) to take no chances and play for a draw. Eric decided to hit the opening bowler last ball of the match straight over the bowler’s head for 6 to win the game.
  • 23/9/06 – Tim Connell (B2) took a double hat-trick Vs Hornsby
  • 17/1/09 – Kishore Rampersad (B2 White Vs Hornsby) scored his 4,000 th run for WPHC bringing him into the top 10 run scorers of all time.
  • 13/11/10 – Daniel Anderson (16 Blue) scored his 3rd successive century to equal the Club record set by Laurie Tuckerman (A1 Grade) in 1951/52. His record equalling score was 153* (retired) scored in 24 overs
  • 13/11/10 – also in this match, Daniel (153*) and Sid Sethi (71) put on a Club record 194 for the 4th wicket (25 overs) in an U16 game
  • 5/9/2012 – Aditya Ramakrishnan (U16 Green) scored 162 in the record breaking U16 Club score of 7/375 Vs Hornsby. Aditya’s 162 is the 5th equal highest score by a WPHC junior just behind the 182 high score record by Steve Cass set in 1996/971
  • 18/11/2012 – Joe Hiley (U12 Gold) scored 139* (25 fours off 168 balls in 195 minutes) for the HK&HDCA U/11 Creak Shield team against Fairfield-Liverpool. This is the highest individual score made in the history of the NSWDCA Creak Shield competition (which commenced in 1989/90), beating the 130* made by Usman Khawaja (6 Tests) for Penrith in the 1997/98 season. Not many U/11 players can say they have knocked a Test batsman out of the record books!
  • 9/2 & 16/2/2013 – Carl Madsen (B2 Blue) took match figures of12/69 (5/35 & 7/34) Vs Hornsby. This is only the 46th timea WPHC player has taken 10 or more wickets in a game.
