After a playing career spanning 22 seasons with the Petersham-Marrickville Grade Club amassing 6,901 runs including 4 centuries and 228 wicket-keeping dismissals, Barry joined WPHCCC in 1978/79. He played for WPHCCC between 1978/79 to 1991/92 (A1 to B1) – 3,096 runs.
Club:
- Barry is our 11th A1 Captain, leading A1 between 1982/83 and 1983/84
- President (1985 to 2014);
- Chair (2014 to 2023/24)
- Oversaw the growth of our Club from:
- 8 x Junior & 10 x Seniors Teams with no Blast or Girls Divisions in 1984/85, to:
- 15 x Junior, 39 Senior Teams, 63 Blast, 66 Girls & 20 Blowfly participants
- Barry played a critical leadership role in building a unified ‘One-Club’ organisation Vs a Club of separate entities
- His leadership also guided and supported initiatives that saw our Club being awarded 15 major NSW and Australian Awards between 2015 and 2024.
In his first season (1978/79) with West Penno after Premier Cricket retirement he averaged 99.5 in A2 Grade.

- Wrote the revised Club Constitution (2019).
Barry was President / Chair during a long period of change that positioned us to have a sustainable Club that was based on organic growth.
