Inducted 3rd May 2003
- Played between 1983/84 to 1993/94 (B2 to C2 Grades) – 1,424 runs & 97 wickets;
- Coached Junior Teams for approx. 6 years without a child participating and provided a blueprint for our Club on the Club policy of ‘Participation over Results’ for Junior Teams
- John was the first Junior Coach to transition a Junior Team into Seniors (C1) and start the Club pathway that is now part of ‘the way we do things’
- Captained Seniors Teams (1983/84 to 1993/94) and actively promoted the involvement of young players and transition of players from Juniors to Seniors;
- Premiership winning Captain – 1 x C1 Grade;
- In 1992/92 had the prestigious Junior Player of the Year Trophy named after him for long-term service to promoting young players;
- Following the passing of Jim Fuggle (Life Member # 10) in 2002, John offered to become involved on the Club Executive to help fill this big gap:
- Was Director Kanga between 2002/03 to 2011/12 and grew numbers by 1,034 players
- produced 2 x Kanga Coaching and gamed-day management manuals that are still used today (2025).
- Remained a Club Executive Member until his retirement in 2019.
Finally it is worth mentioning that John has 2 x Life Memberships – both with WPHCCC and NSW Churches.
