WPH Sports Club co-branded digital Membership card – available now

The new digital membership system is now operational and is rolling out today.

Membership benefits

WPHCCC members will be given the opportunity before any other Sports Club member as a trial. Benefits are:

  • On Saturday nights from 5.00 pm:
    • jugs of beer will be $18
    • jugs of soft drinks will be $10
    • beer and soft drink package for $25
  • Eligibility to participate in the $20,000 members draw
  • Bar and Restaurant prices are typically 20% below non-member prices
  • On Sunday night, children will be able to eat for free (all Members)

Implementation

The process is:

Current members renewing their membership

The Sports Club will send an email / SMS to those Cricket Club members who are known to be Sports Club Members and it will be a simple process to activate the card and have it in your digital wallet.

New Members

We will shortly forward an electronic Membership application form from the Sports Club for completion. New Members will then:

  1. Complete the form and have it activated by attending the Club with identification
  2. Pay $10 for the entrance fee (this is required under the Constitution) with the Club then re-crediting this $10 on to the digital card so that it can be used at the bar / Restaurant.

Next steps

Club-wide communications will be sent out early this week and it is expected that everyone over 18 years of age will support our Club in this great initiative.

Website page updates

James Makin, our Seniors Director has worked his magic and updated the website to bring to life our major Seniors statistical records.

Our Club records are second to none and go back to 1946/47.

The records cover Seniors only due to the long history of patching together manual records that, pre PlayHQ, were kept on paper records held by Team Managers. For Juniors and Girls, statistics simply aren’t available, so it’s not possible to aggregate similar historical Leader boards.

However, our ‘Awards & Records’ (in the Club History menu) does have details of the limited records that have been sourced through manual effort over many years.

With the latest enhancements we now have:

  • On the Home page a great visual of the Season’s best achievements and also personal milestone tracking
  • There is also a new tab in our Club history ‘Statistics Hub – Seniors’ – Statistics Hub – Seniors. This is a great, easy to source data base that is worth playing around with.

The data is updated after every round.
