Girls Come & Try Day
Note the date: Saturday 29th August 2026 at WPH Sports Club between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm.
Our Girls are going from strength to strength. Last season we had an amazing 120 girls playing cricket at all levels!
For Girls, aged 10 to 16 we have a ‘Come & try’ session that everyone interested in playing is welcome to come along – from beginners to experience players – everyone is welcome.

Our latest High Achievers
Well done Trisha Yadav (Dev) – Australian Captain
A big congratulations to Trisha Yadav (Dev) on being selected as Captain of the Australian U16 Girls Indoor Cricket Team following the Nationals in Melbourne in July. Trisha was also Captain of the winning NSW side.
Trisha has previously represented Australia in the U14 All-Stars (2024) & U16s (2025). She is now Captaining the Australian U16 side that is competing in the World Junior titles in South Africa during September.
We have had 8 players represent Australia in our History including 2 of the all-time greats of Women’s world cricket, Lisa Sthalekar & Denise Annetts. Check out our photo Gallery dedicated to our Australia Representatives – Australian Representatives
Trisha is now just the 2nd West Penno player to Captain an Australian side and joins Lisa Sthalekar in this exalted position.
Well done Trisha.


NSW Over 50’s – James Makin
Congratulations to our latest NSW Representative – James Makin, our Seniors Director and current A1 player.
James has been selected in the NSW squad of 75 players and will be a strong candidate for selection in the NSW Team and higher honours.

WPHC U14 Purple 5/33 drew (rain affected) with WPHC Gold 8/65.
Premiership awarded to the higher placed Purple side.

Player of the Year
Luke Tabone (C4 Blue) who scored 836 runs at 83.6 including a double ton. This is also the 5th highest season aggregate in our history at the 2nd best average
Outstanding Prospect
Daniel Fagg (A2 / B1) who took 20 wickets @ 20.0 and also scored important runs under pressure
